Network boot

Post by peterhull90 »

Is it possible to set up a VM so it boots from a TFTP server on another VM on the same internal network? I've seen the documentation for PXE boot but as far as I can see this applies to an 'internal' server that VBox provides itself, so the image is a file on the host.

I have wondered about this too but never got around to trying it. It should work just fine as long as the network is bridged and not NAT.
