When i installed svga after rebooting this comes up:

Please post questions in the correct forum. The correct forum is the one which another user might search when looking for an answer to the same problem. Someone with a problem with a Win 3.1 guest will certainly not search "Windows Hosts". The fact that you yourself might own a Windows Host is not relevant for forum selection.

As to your error, I have no idea. I don't remember needing to patch my svga driver for my Win 3.1 installation - but it's been a few years so my memory may be at fault.

You have so right.

I looked on that patch readme.

In that days you needed it for patching on vmvare/virutalbox.
Nowdays you dont need it on virutalbox. Cuz much bug and stuff has fixed scene that days.
