Hi,

I want to install the Debian GNU/Linux Squeeze by using it's downloaded debian-6.0.8-powerpc-netinst.iso on my VirtualBox.

This shall be done on Debian GNU/Linux unstable (sid) host system.

I did everything prepare for the installation, added the debian-6.0.8-powerpc-netinst.iso to the 'Debian Squeeze PowerPC' virtual machine, the boot order is: 1. CD/DVD, 2. HDD.

When I start the 'Debian Squeeze PowerPC' virtual machine, I get the following error message:
FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted.

What am I doing wrong?

Download the right version, a PowerPC Linux cannot run on an Intel/AMD PC.

Hi Martin,

so I can't install it on this Intel/AMD PC. Right?

I have already installed a Debian Squeeze from debian-6.0.0-amd64-netinst.iso on this VirtualBox.

However, thank you for the information.
