The easiest and for most the best way to use and test Windows domains in VirtualBox
Setup Windows Domain in VirtualBox

No steps that you need to worry about as far as VirtualBox is concerned. Select the internal for both and use the default name intnet on both. The rest is network configuration on the guests and since you are trying to setup a domain you need to follow MS guidelines for configuring the domain.
I can tell you to use a private address not public and one that is not in the same subnet as your local domain, or there will be conflicts.

I think a good way to do this is to install dhcp server in one of the guest and choose the host only adapter.
Another way comes up with me is to set up a ftp server.
but i don't know what's your purpose so you can just think about it.
