Dear forum members,
i installed VirtualBox on my Windows 8.1 64bit system. The problem is that i cant get any internet connection on my Windows XP guest system.
This are my settings:
Adapter 1
Enable Network Adapter
Attached to: Bridged Network
Name: My WLAN-Stick
Adapter Type: Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop (82540EM)
Promiscuous Mode: Allow VMs
I get also a SSL-Authentication failed Error if i click on "Check for VirtualBox Update"
I used VirtualBox without any Network problems on my Windows 7 Host. Has this problem something to do with Windows 8.1? Hopefully somebody can help me.

Re: Windows 8.1 host network problem
Try with the NAT. Bridged with wireless is finicky (to say the least).
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
