Permission issues

Post by bradleyj »

I am using server 2003 as the host and Win XP pro as the VM, I cant do anything in the XP VM I try to change the Domain into active directory (figuring it would override the permission issues) I Try doing it by itself and still issues with the permissions... How do i give permissions to the VM XP or any other VM OS?

Permissions for what? What files are you trying to access? Where are they stored?

On the windows XP machine (VM) I cant really do anything as far as add programs, go into certain windows etc.. It pops up a error message saying this:
"Windows cannot access the specific device path or file you may not have the approiate permissions to access the item"

That was in the control panel I can access hardly anything in the control panel things.

I doubt that message is complete. Post a picture of the message dialog.
