My host operating system is Ubuntu 13.10 (64-bit). I have installed Windows 7 (64-bit) as the guest operating system. I'm using VirtualBox 4.3.6. I have a Creative USB webcam that I need to use under Windows for Skype calls.
I can't use it correctly because either A) the video works but the microphone doesn't or B) the microphone works but the video doesn't. Device manager from the Windows control panes says that in case A) a device from the imaging devices category is being used (Microsoft drivers) while in case B) a sound, video and game controllers device is being used (Creative drivers).
I think instead that devices from both categories should be present at once, and that I should either use Microsoft drivers or Creative drivers, not both. How can I fix this problem? Thank you.
