Is there any simple way to change the icon for a VM in the VirtualBox Manager?
I have a VM which I inadvertently created with a Windows XP icon, but have installed with a different operating system. It still appears in the list of VMs with a WinXP icon. I know this is only decorative, but it is also slightly irritating and I would like to change it if possible.
(I know; this is probably extremely obvious, but I haven't spotted how to do it.)

You can change the OS type in <settings>|General|Version.

Thanks. Why can't one see these things when they are staring you in the face?

BUT ... is it possible to add a custom icon for your virtual machines?

Re: Changing VM icon
Not that I know of. The user manual (which I recommend btw) makes no mention of such a feature.
The present icon doesn't identify the guest, it identifies the selected guest OS template.
