I am using virtualbox 4.3.6. I need to install software which needs AMD-V in the guest OS. But when I run "Coreinfo -v" in the windows 8 x64 guest os, it says it does not support AMD-V. But in the host os, "Coreinfo -v" says it supports AMD-V.
Who can tell if the guest os supports AMD-V? Thanks.
Does Windows Guests support AMD-V?

Re: Does Windows Guests support AMD-V?
VT-x and AMD-v are used by VirtualBox, not passed to the VM. In any case current Operating Systems per se don't use either; only VM or system debug software uses it, maybe antivirus is starting to use it too. Specific apps, not the OS kernel.
