no such file or directory found

just about whenever i try to do something on my linux ubuntu, i almost always get the message "no such file or directory found' even though i have the downloads page open with the file sitting right there.

i tried to install linux oracles vmbox and got this result right off the bat.

so i am stuck at stage 1.
