opening extension pack

what can i use to open the vbox extension pack with the .vbox-... ending of the file?

If you're talking about the .vbox-extpack file, it's opened from within the Virtualbox GUI window. File Menu, Preferences, Extensions, Add Package icon on the left. (This fromversion 4.2.16 I'm running now; I haven't tried version 4.3 yet)
