Bridge Networking

Hi Guys,
I'm new to this whole network and IP thing so I hope I get the point through clearly.
I have Ubuntu connected to my router through Bridge Adapter and all is fine and dandy! I can access my server on the internal IP assigned to it.
My question is, when I check my router's attached devices list, my Ubuntu server is not listed. After reading a few articles about this, I kinda understand why now. But..
Now I'm guessing the IP on my linux box is assigned by DHCP on my router as well, which means it can change. So my question is how can I assigned a fix IP to it when I cant find it on my router's list.
Thanks in advance for any help.
