I am creating a windows 7 virtual machine. These are my settings and the resulting screen when I open Windows 7 in virtualbox. I do not know how to either avoid the first screen or continue beyond it. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Best wishes,

Re: loading Windows 7 Instance
You selected to use EFI which is not supported in VirtualBox for a Windows guests. Uncheck EFI and it should install, that is if you have not changed some of the other defaults that cause issues.

Thank you, Perryg;
I did uncheck EFI and restarted. Now I get "Could not read from boot medium! System halted."

Then your install media is bad. Check the md5sum with what it should be to verify.

Re: loading Windows 7 Instance
When you took the screen shot you had the GuestAdditions .iso assigned to DVD drive 0. I would remove that to make sure that the vm is booting from the disk in the host Drive.

Re: loading Windows 7 Instance
BillG, you were correct. I moved the host drive to SATA Port 0 and the machine loaded. Thank you. Problem solved!!
