**SOLVED** pfSense VM box in Virtual Box issue

I'm new to Virtual box and pfSense and I'm trying to setup a virtual environment to study for my MCSA.
When setting up my pfSense virtual box, for some reason I'm not pulling an IP address for the
WAN (em0) interface. Any suggestions on why? I'm trying this on my HP Pavillion dv5-1159se laptop,
running Window 7 (64-bit), with free Wi-fi connection at my hotel.
Versions I'm using are: VirtualBox-4.3.6-91406-Win.exe, Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.3.6-91406.vbox-extpack,
and pfSense-LiveCD-2.1-RELEASE-i386-20130911-1815.iso.

How is the networking configured on the vm? Is the WAN NIC bridged? Is it set to get its network config automatically?

If so, it should get its config from DHCP when you connect to a network with a DHCP server. A free service might not be happy giving you two public addresses - one for the host and another for pfSense.

Actually using VirtualBox NAT for the WAN side and Intnet for the LAN side works well and should not be an issue as long as the host is connected to the wifi lan

Thanks everyone! I set LAN adapter 1 to NAT and it finally pulled an IP address via DHCP. It now says:
WAN (wan) -> em0 -> v4/DHCP4: 10.0.2.15/24
LAN (lan) -> em1 -> v4: 192.168.1.1 /24

Actually it gets that IP from VirtualBox DHCP because it is using VirtualBox NAT setting, but as Perry pointed out, that works fine. NAT behind NAT is not a problem.
