Dear all,
I facing a crazy issue with Virtualbox.
I'm on a windows host (Win7 - 64bits) and I run a CentOS 5.6 guest.
I export my CentOS VM using VBox tool (.ova file) and import it on another win7 64bits host.
On My guest "gfortran compiler" work properly
On the target host, the "gfortran" compiler of guest VM raise an error "f951: internal compiler error: Illegal instruction. Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate."

I try to deploy again the VM from .ova file on my host => "gfortran" compiler works properly.
I try to deploy the VM on win 7 64bits on another host => on some hosts "gfortran" compiler works properly, on some others hosts "gfortran" compiler doesn't works.

Does anybody can explain to me which confuguration i missed to have such differences ?

Thanks in advance for any support.
Best regards

if you're using version 4.whatever of Virtualbox, you probably have all the files that the guest uses in one folder. You shouldn't have to use Appliance Import/Export. All you need to do to transfer that guest to another computer, especially one with the same host OS, is copy the folder over and register the guest on the new host (I believe its just double-clicking the guest's .vbox file - or Go to the Machine menu, click Add, navigate to the copied folder and select the guest's .vbox file) Maybe the issue is happening because of the Appliance imprt/export process.
Also, you should know that the processor is not emulated in Virtualbox. If the guest gets put on a different host with a different processor, the guest will see the different processor, which may cause some issues depending on the guest. You might have found one of the possible issues...

Hello,
Many thanks for your answer.
I will have a look on processor and compare them, and I will also test to copy all files without using export tools.
Then, I'll send back the results.
