This isn't realy relevant to vbox but while it's still sort of on topic so here goes.
For anyone that's interested i picked up a Raspberry PI and it works quite nicely as a RDP thin client.
From the 3 OS's i tried RiscOS worked best as it's very lightweigh so the PI cpu usage doesn't realy go into the red like with Raspian PI.
Only drawback of RiscOS is that it doesn't support 32 bit colours. I didn't try printing localy from the PI under RiscOS, there seems to be very limited software availble. Raspian PI is based on Debian Wheezy so support should will be better. Printing shouldn't be a issue anyway with most units shipping standard with wifi or lan ports.
Edit: My last note on this. The avalanche vnc client works much better then the rdpclient program. I was using tightvnc as the server. Any visual media like avi/mp4 and flash is a nono but the screen updates quick enough for other tasks to not be a pain.
