Could not create Com Object

I run the VB installation under my acccount and execute as an administrator.
I was asked three times whether to install the drivers and answered all with yes.

Next time I tried to configure the network manually, but error remains the same
I configured the network manually and checked whether the network responds to pings, in fact it does, no packet drops, all fast answers below 1ms.

But when I try to start the VB I get this error message:

Das COM-Objekt für VirtualBox konnte nicht erzeugt werden.

Die Anwendung wird nun beendet.
Callee RC:E_NOINTERFACE (0x80004002)

The installation went through without any error message.


I tried the installation several times, but nothing changed (de-install -reboot-new install).

I also tried the installation having my BitDefender firewall completely switched off, but the problem remains as it is

Any idea what's going wrong?

This is an installation problem.
Make sure you install logged in as your user but with the "Run as Administrator" right click option.

Once Virtualbox is installed, DO NOT "Run as Administrator". Simply run normally.

I did it all as you described it.
Installed the VB under my account, but run as administrator.
I startet the VB just with a double click on the desktop icon.

But I get the error message no interface.
But the insterface is installed & it can be pinged successfully. no packet drop, response time below 1ms.

Is there a way to analyze the problem more in depth?

I really appreciate your assistance very much.

My OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

This problem is not a network problem as you might think. By interface, the error message means the coding interface.
I am a bit out of ideas on how to solve this to be honest. Maybe another person can help you with this...

Get the same issue when installing VirtualBox-4.3.6-91406-Win.exe
A previous version works ok: VirtualBox-4.0.8-71778-Win.exe

Have repeated the installation of both versions repeatedly. Only the older version works.
Operating system: Windows 7

I tried the version 4.0.8-71778 and it works fine.
Thank your for the hint.

I currently see no need to update to the last recxent version.

I think this might be a problem with the installer
