Hi,
I uninstalled VirtualBox and I need to know how to verify that the memory and the allocated disk space I assigned to the virtual machine has been removed.

When I opened up the Mac Disk Utility, the VirtualBox-4.3.6-91406-OSX.dmg is still showing and under it the VirtualBox is unmounted. I need to totally remove this disk allocation and start fresh.

Also, I am not sure if the memory of 2GB was still allocated for the virtual machine.

Please help.

If you're not running any virtual machine, your memory is not consumed.
The .dmg file contains the installer for VirtualBox, not your virtual machines.
Check your "<username>/VirtualBox VMs/". That's (by default) where your virtual machines are stored. If you delete that folder, they're gone (empty your trash).
If you want to remove VirtualBox's configuration, delete the "<username>/Library/VirtualBox" folder.

To add to what socratis said; how did you uninstall VirtualBox? Did you use the VirtualBox_Uninstall.tool in the dmg or did you just toss the VirtualBox application in the trash?
