Kali Linux mouse cursor flickers after boot

Hi everyone and thanks for the help in advance,

I installed Kali linux - kali-linux-1.0.6-i386 as a guest on virtualbox version 4.3.6(which is installed on a windows 8 OS). It installed properly but after the end of the boot when the Kali is trying to start its x-window i am getting a mouse cursor coming and going and the following log:

Common guys, it can't be that hard... please provide some ideas/directions
