Hello,
Since I had a BSOD issue on Windows 8 64 bit system running Windows XP 32 bit guest involving my Brother MFC J220 USB printer after "upgrading" to version 4.2.18, I've been running my XP guest daily on version 4.2.16. I see there are several versions of VB now available for download and am looking for some advice on which one should I try? I still have the same USB printer so any unresolved USB issues would likely produce another BSOD result. However, being so "far behind" in the version of VB I'm using is concerning as I rely heavily on the XP guest for daily work. Thanks in advance for always helpful advice.

If this is mission critical I would stay in the 4.2.* (stable branch). With that said there is an old saying that you might want to consider. If it ain't broke why fix it?
Only thing that you get are new features and they usually don't mean a lot except for eye candy. I have clients that are still using 3.2 branch because it works and they don't care about anything else.

Thank you Perry. I try to follow the "if it ain't broke" rule in most things and will continue to do so with VB until it is "broke".
