virtual box problem usb

Post by basilico »

Good evening, I hope to post in the right place. virtual box 4.2.6 does not recognize me any usb device I connect. I tried to install the virtual box extension pack and then the guest without risultato.sono Andanto but also in the preferences of the virtual box and I popped the usb device but once you start virtual box with 8 wundows within the virtual box it recognizes the key but says, pen drive with uuid xxx is busy with a previous request. Is there a way to solve. thanks

Yes. You could try Googling or Binging it.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

OK, try to understand and follow the instructions from Chapter 3.10 in the manual.
  1. Create a USB filter in your guest settings while the device is plugged in the host. Delete all values except VendorID and ProductID.
  2. Unplug the device.
  3. Start your guest (the one that you applied the filter to). Let it start completely. Log in if you have to.
  4. Plug your device. The filter should capture it and pass control to your guest.

Well if you did the four steps from my previous post, then the filter should work. Did you unplug the device? CAN you unplug the device? Or is the system uses it and can't let it go?

Once you have created the filter as I disconnect the device and connect it once it comes into windws with virtual box. I also tried leaving it stuck in windows and start the virtual box and then from there go to my normal windows and disconnect the key and try again in virtual box but nothing comes out the same error

Maybe you have only USB 3 on your computer ?
cause USB 3 doesn't work with virtualbox
I have the same problem here... so I search a way to be able to send files out of the virtualized system
