Cannot ping an outside IP address from Fedora 13 virtual box

I am on a Fedora 14 host, and have the driver for my Intel 82579LM Ethernet card. The network on the host works fine. The issue is that with Fedora 13 on my virtual box, I have an IP address, and can ping the host, but not any other address.

The virtual box network is set as "Bridged", interface "eth0", and in the Advanced section, I have selected "paravirtualized network" for the adapter type; note that Intel 82579LM does not appear in that list. I have refreshed the MAC address multiple times to ensure there are no conflicts.

Haven't been successful so far. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Set back the adapter type to its initial value, that would be "Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop (82540EM)".
If it still doesn't work, provide the VM log and guest settings as zip attachment as described in Minimum information needed for assistance.
