No problem there. I have a VM with the same settings. I use it for "Live" CDs.

If you don't have a bootable hard drive or a bootable CD, the computer will not boot. By definition.

There are a couple of ways to end a program. The easiest is to right-click (or control-click if you have a 1-button mouse) on the VirtualBox icon in the Dock, and while the menu is open, press the Option (Alt) key. You will notice that the last item "Quit" becomes "Force Quit". Click that and VirtualBox is gone. If you restart, VirtualBox will NOT start automatically (unless you actually forced it to). If everything else fails, pull the power cord or press the power button for more than 5 seconds.

Do you mean the Uninstall.sh that is located in the VirtualBox###.dmg? If you simply double-click it it will launch a Terminal window and ask for your password. There is only one way that this will fail; if you are using a simple-user account. Simple-users cannot "sudo", only administrators can.
