Seamless mode - Win7 guest - "Ghosts" around Window

Hey all
Pardon me if I violate a protocol - am a newbie with a problem. Using Windows 7 in a VM on a MAC Host. In Seamless mode each application windows has a "ghost" (part of a guest desktop) to the right and below the application window. I've tried changing video memory for the VM and that doesn't affect the situation. In the attachment the green background is my MAC OSX desktop and the blue is the "ghost" of the Win7 desktop. The ghost lays on top of other application windows and messes me up.
OSX version 10.8.4, Virtual box 4.3.6 R91406. The issue has been plaguing me for the last few versions of Virtual box. I've updated the client extension.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jeff
