Installing debian 7.3.0 over RDP

Hi!

I installed virtualbox from download.virtualbox.org through apt-get. I also installed support for rdp.
I created a new guest system and used debian 7.3.0 as iso to install from.
I then started mstsc.exe to be able to install debian.

When i see the menu and hit enter at "Install" nothing more happens. Im still connected but the installation is like it has hanged

Any hints why nothing happens???

I had a similar (not installing over RDP) issue and found that the 'OS Version' in the VB config dialog auto sets to 'Debian' when you key in 'Debian' for the name of the machine. I was installing a 64 bit version and the plain 'Debian' in the version box is for 32 bit. Just select the 'Debian (64 bit)' and you should be good... worked for me.

I had linux_64 and changed it to Debian_64 but neither worked. I also tried with rdesktop just in case that windows 8 and the remote desktop client had issues. But rdesktop gave me the same problem.
