Graphic Card driver and OpenGL version issue

Post by philITC »

Hi,

I'm running VirtualBox 4.3.6 under Win 7 64bits on a Core 5.
As virtual machine I've installed WinXP SP3 Pro

Within WinXP virtual machine:

I have an issue with 2 graphical software one says: "you do not appear to be using a driver customized for your video card", consequently the rendering is in very low quality.

Another one says I'm running under OpenGL 1.1
re: http://www.opengl.org/wiki/FAQ#Why_is_m ... r_lower.3F

How can I improve the situation, according to msinfo32.exe under Win 7 my graphical card is "Intel HD Graphics 3000" http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033757.htm
, which supports OpenGL 3.1 and Dirext X 10.1

Thanks.

You can't. Your virtual machine is using virtual hardware, including virtual graphics card which is not as powerful as an actual graphics card.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

Why would it be impossible? I believe it requires more development to run an "advanced" virtual graphic card, no?

I really don't know if it is even possible to begin with, but it would definitely a LOT more development time. Paid time. Or contributions in code.
