Hello every one and happy new Year.
Firstly, sorry for my English.

I work in a little industry and us want to use a logiciel which name is TRWinProg.
For use it easily, we past by a VM in Windows Xp but the host is an Windows 8 .

This need a serial port for be used but when we use it, he doesn't find the COM1 (on W8 he found the serial port and we can use it easily,but for the technician , we want use a VM for a better restriction usage)
I have do with and without pipe but nothing is good.
IRQ:4 , E/S: 0x3F8...

It's possible is TRWinProg? or i have forgot anything ?

What is the name of the serial port on the host? (For example, "COM1:", "COM5" etc).

Also, please post the .vbox file from your VM, as a .zip or .txt attachment.

Serial ports are not always "plug and play" devices in XP. You may need to use "Add new hardware..." inside the XP guest to force it to detect the new serial port.

The name of my Serial port is COM1 . And now , i think it's the little appy which don't be Ok.
Just for test i have make a Serial connexion with 2 computeur, and after with 2 virtual computeur in its and when i use TeraTerm, the connexion is good.
But i don't know why TRWinProg doesn't do the connexion with the system. So i have test TRWinProg in a virtual Xp to TeraTerm in other virtual Xp . The terminal say something but only spaces ... So i will test to make my connexion in a .txt but nothing is good:
When i make the systeme in this type of fct, the VM tell me :"Echec de création de l'objet COM:"CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE 0x80080005" " (sorry i'm french ^^')
If some one have a link for make a .txt ... I have past 2h to seek that on the web without result...
