First of all thanks for your great work.
Second I sure that the problem was already discussed I have read a lot but I'm not able to solve,
As write above I have installed in VB Win 8.1 the host is Win 8.1. All work well but I'm not able to use USB device. In Setting -> USB I have selected USB and USB 2.0 EHCI.
Add Filter Generic Mass Storage from list, when I try to connect it from Device -> Device USB I receive the following message:
Connessione del dispositivo USB Generic Mass Storage [0103] alla macchina virtuale Win_8.1 non riuscita.
USB device 'Generic Mass Storage' with UUID {d90e8f4c-d4ab-45e8-80d9-d7dcab360e3c} is busy with a previous request. Please try again later.

Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

So am Inumb3rs666 wrote:Sorry I'm a novice.
- Create a USB filter in your guest settings while the device is plugged in the host. Delete all values except VendorID and ProductID.
- Unplug the device.
- Start your guest (the one that you applied the filter to). Let it start completely. Log in if you have to.
- Plug your device. The filter should capture it and pass control to your guest.
SOLVED: Failed to access the USB subsystem on Windows 7 host

Re: Win 8.1 on Win 8.1 USB Problem
First of all thannks for your interest.
I have tried the suggested procedure without result but now I have noted in the Host Device Managment that the VirtualBox USB Driver is not installed. Practically the guest capture the device but the driver is not installed. I will try with another device. For now I don't want that you spend more time I will take you informed.
Happy New Year
Edit sorry I have forget: in my PC is installed an Intel Processor.

Re: Win 8.1 on Win 8.1 USB Problem
Did you install the VBox application with right-click "Run as administrator"? Try that if you don't mind... And make sure that you relax the policies for unsigned drivers temporarily in your host.numb3rs666 wrote:the VirtualBox USB Driver is not installed
