Win XP guest- IP cam tool

I installed a simple old IP camera tool ( from Foscam) on a Win XP pro X86 SP3 guest . Host is Win 8 X64.
All is does is list the IP cameras connected by WIFI to my router and then launches them in IE when selected.
Works fine on a real XP machine but does not list my cameras when running in the VM.
