Windows Vista Business 32-bit won't boot

Post by QuadraQ »

I've searched and searched for an answer but I can't seem to find one. I've pulled over my Windows 2000, XP, and 7 installs in Microsoft Virtual PC to VirtualBox successfully. All have the Guest Additions installed successfully and the Windows 7 install has the 3D support working as well. The only missing one is my Windows Vista Business 32-bit install and I'm able to create the virtual machine and setup the virtual HD on the IDE bus and it boots fine. But as soon as I try to install the Guest Additions and restart the OS won't boot successfully. I get to the status bar with "Microsoft Corporation" below it and it just runs forever and never boots. If I shutdown the machine and start it again I can get into windows using Safe Mode (although the mouse doesn't work right) and if I uninstall the Guest Additions, then I can boot normally again. Re-installing Vista isn't really an option (too much time). Any help would be most appreciated. I'm running the latest version of VirtualBox and it's additions.
