Hi all,
Please help me to understand the function of "Write Manifest file" on exporting Virtual Appliance. I'm aware the other option "Write legacy OVF 0.9" which is to export the Virtual Appliance for VMWare.
Thanks

About the option - Write Manifest file
Re: About the option - Write Manifest file
According to experts, the Manifest contains the VirtualBox settings of the VM being exported. In addition, mousing over the Manifest option produces a tooltip that says, "Create a Manifest file for automatic data integrity checks on import."

I'm not so sure that the tooltip was there in 2013 when that question was first asked.
