Hi guys. Host is Windows 7, all updates done. Guests are Linux Mint 16, Kali 1.05, and OpenSuse 3.1, all updates applied. Physical sound card is Creative Audigy 4. Sounds works fine in Windows but all 3 Linux are completely silent.
Options in Vbox host driver are Null audio driver and Windows Direct Sound (default). Audio controller options are Intel HD audio, ICH AC97 (default), and Sound Blaster 16. I've tried various combinations but can't get a single sound out of any of the Linux installs. If I play an audio file and open a mixer program it appears the file is playing, little graph dances around nicely, but nothing heard from the speakers.
Attached log is from Mint with Windows Direct Sound and ICH AC97 selected (defaults). Any ideas greatly appreciated. Sound not critical but annoying that I can't get it going.
