VT-x/VT-d isn't detect by VB

Post by leoghazi »

Hi,

Can anyone please help me with the following issue.

I have installed Virtual Box 4.3 on my Lenovo X1 Carbon ultrabook (Windows 8.1 64bit, CPU 64bit). I have checked the BIOS for VT-x and VT-d both Enabled but while configured new VM for Windows Server 2012 somehow its not running. Showing error that this is x386 instead of 64 bit. Under settings -> System, the Acceleration option also greyed out.

Your help much appreciated.
Thanks.

Make sure VT-x is enabled in the host BIOS, and disable Hyper-v.
