Error BIOS running virtual machine
Posted: 12. Dec 2013, 16:02
Hello,
I installed the last version of Virtualbox in a Windows 7 system, 64 bits. The Guest system I want to use is a Xubuntu system I have downloaded to my desktop in disk image format (called "CMG-biotools", if anyone out there has been using it). I've been following the instructions of the writer of this system. I was also able to set up a shared folder in Virtualbox. However, when I tried to set it up also in the virtual computer through the terminal, I got an error. I also noticed that every time that I would close the virtual computer or Virtualbox or turned off the computer, the next time I had to define the Guest system storage again. So I though I should delete this virtual computer and re-install it. But this time, when trying to start the virtual computer to install the Guest system etc., I got this error message:
I should mention that in the mean time I added 4 Gb of memory to the computer. Could this have changed any configuration in the BIOS? I did not do it myself, so I can't really say if someone touched somewhere else in the system and changed some configuration.
I'd really appreciate some help here
I searched the forum for this error. There is one thread about it, but no answer. If I should send a Log or something else, please let me know how to find it.
Thanks!
