I am attempting to install an application in VirtualBox - Windows 7 x64 - and am receiving an error stating that DirectX 9 is not present. I have Guest Additions installed (latest release). 3D Acceleration is selected. DXDIAG reports that DirectX 11 is installed and operating. I have tried installing DirectX 9 directly and receive no errors during install - however when installed the application I again get the error stating that DirectX 9 is not present.

I am using VirtualBox as a platform on which to capture an installation for application virtualization - I am not intending to run the application within VirtualBox for anything other than configuration.
