Virtual Box GUI Problem

Hi,

I have recently installed the latest version of VirtualBox onto my Work Laptop so that I can program within Ubuntu. Once I installed VirtualBox, it gave me the following error:

Failed to create the VirtualBox COM object.

The application will now terminate.

Callee RC: E_NOINTERFACE (0x80004002)

Because of this I cannot access any of the VirtualBox screens. This is my work laptop so I don't always have administration rights unless i apply for them, but on the odd occation it decides to run if I run it through Administration Access. I would really like to know if there is a fix, so that I don't need admin access all the time.

Appriciate any help, if you require any other information I will try and get it as soon as posible.

EDIT: I forgot to note, I'm running Windows 7 32bit.

Here is a possible solution from ticket 12087:
Hi Guys,

same Problem here. I think it has to do with the user rights! I have several user accounts on one machine and some work with no error.... I tried to find out if there is a difference between the accounts, but i can“t find any differences except the user names. I also find out that my installation works when i set it to Compatibility mode "Start as Administrotor", but a prompt will show. When i start it in Compatibility mode "Windows Vista (SP2)" it runs with no prompt and no errors. That works on all my user accounts on that machine. Can anybody confirm that ?
Mabye try changing compatibility setting for all users for all users, so any account works?
