I am running a windows 8.1 system with virtual box installed version 4.2 worked fine, this morning I have updated to version 4.3.4 and when I start virtual box I get an error saying " failed to open a session for the virtual machine Win7 localhost. VT-x is not available. (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).

I have checked the bios of the machine and virtualisation is enabled.
I have also updated the extension pack
Does anyone have a solution to this as I am no longer able to access the files in the virtual machine.
Is it possible to revert back to a previous version that did work without completely screwing up everything
all help gratefully received as I am really panicking because there is a huge amount of work on the virtual machine which I really do not want to lose
