I just want the real size of my resized disk.

Dynamic VDI : Size on host = ACTUAL data of the guest.
Fixed VDI : Size on host = THEORETICAL data of the guest.

So, if you want to reflect the theoretical size of your hard drive, change it to fixed. You cannot resize a fixed drive. That's what you had originally. Please read the manual.

Sorry but I don't understand any of you at all and believe me, I have read the manual, but it is very confused.

My VDIs are fixed, not dynamic, and when I change them into dynamic, their sizes change and there is a difference between their real sizes and what guest Windows says it is its size (Guest Windows does not say its real size). I just want to know how to fix it and if it is in the manual, please tell me where it is written, I will be very grateful to you.

I'm in a "good" mood tonight, so I'll answer this last time. Spot the differences between 1) and 2).

1) You have assigned a 10 GB hard drive to the guest. FIXED.
- Guest is using 5 GB of data.
- Guest thinks it has 10 GB of total space.
- Actual size on your host = 10 GB => The whole hard drive pre-allocated.

2) You have assigned a 10 GB hard drive to the guest. DYNAMIC.
- Guest is using 5 GB of data.
- Guest thinks it has 10 GB of total space.
- Actual size on your host = 5 GB => The actual hard drive used.

Re-read the whole thread and try to understand it. Then read it again. And the manual. Again. Your question has been answered multiple times in a variety of forms.

Thanks for your answer and sorry if I look clumsy but when type 1) is converted into type 2), VDI file gets smaller but guest SO keeps showing the old size.

Then perhaps you should forget about trying to understand it: just accept that it's normal.
