Hi to all...
I had VirtualBox-4.2.18-88780-Win and upgraded today to VirtualBox-4.3.4-91027-Win on Windows 7 x64 and my virtual machine that runs Ubuntu 12.04 stopped working. This is my error logs.
Please help

00:00:00.699678 Guest OS type: 'Ubuntu'
Try changing the OS type to Ubuntu-64bit.

I'm about to do 4.2.x -> 4.3.x upgrade and saw this note. Is it correct that an existing Ubunto 12.04LTS 64 bit guest should work after the upgrade? I'm using a NAS and the Vbox upgrade is tedious so I want to know if I can expect this to work or not. Tried searching everywhere and couldn't find a statement, but I think it's assumed that guests work unmodified when Vbox is upgraded?
thanks

All guests should work after all upgrades.
The only thing that changed in 4.3.x is that the guest OS version in <VM settings>|General|Basic|Version must say "... (64bit)" if it's a 64bit OS. Previous versions of VBox didn't care, provided VT-x was enabled, now VT-x is not the only feature that matters.

Not quite accurate -- previous versions of VBox did care, but only if the host OS was 32-bit. Now VBox cares always.
