When you say worked before, do you mean an earlier version of VirtualBox that you updated? and was it updated to version 4.3.4?

Have you looked in the hosts BIOS and is hardware virtualization enabled?

The hosts bios is usually started by pushing a key on the keyboard when booting the PC. Which depends on your PC. This can be found at the manufactures web site with the model number.

(Log file) Rt click on the guest in the main manager and the lft click on show log. Click save and post (as an attachment)

(test for KVM)
In a terminal on the host type the follwoing:

Code: Select all

cat /sys/hypervisor/properties/capabilities
Post the results.

Not too sure what u mean via The guest in the main manager
and i try typing in command Prompt this shows up

C:\Users\Leo Lo>cat /sys/hypervisor/properties/capabilities
'cat' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

So you have a windows host and posted in Linux host. I'll move it.

The main manager is the fancy "GUI" window. Do you see your guest in the VirtualBox program?
Also since this is a Windows host make sure that xp mode or hyper-v is not installed

Hint: look in the control panel add/remove programs.
