Shared folder as a Linux guests' home directory?

Hello,
I am currently running Fedora 19 in the latest stable Virtualbox on a Mac OS X 10.6.8 host system. I am wondering if it would be possible to use a Virtualbox shared folder as the entire home directory for a user in the Fedora guest system? (ie. the entire contents of said Fedora user's home directory would actually reside on the Mac OS X host system)
If this is possible, how would one implement it? Thanks!!!
