Windows 8.1 Host Ubuntu 12LTS Guest Random Boot Crash

Hi everyone,

Hopefully someone will be able to help me here, I'm getting a strange issue with VB when I have a Windows 8.1 Host and a Ubuntu 12LTS Guest when I try to boot (into the guest via VB). Sometimes I'll get a Critical Error crash before anything happens (see log file attached) and sometimes it will work fine.

What is the problem and how can I fix it? I'm worried that my development environment will die completely losing a lot of work.

Hm, the VBox.log doesn't indicate the reason for the crash. Any chance of getting a core dump?

Opps sorry Maybe I should be a little more specific on the crash It doesn't cause the Host to Crash or BSOD, it simply brings up a Critical error popup then the VM turns off.
