Cloning system using Disk2vhd, Nforce/Solution?

Hi. I posted here a while ago about using System Internals "Disk2vhd" to clone my system for use in Virtual Box. The problem I ran into was that I would get past the Windows boot logo, and the system would go black screen and could no longer do anything. Now, the system I cloned has NForce Drivers installed as well as a Firewire adapter. I now know that Virtual Box has issues with NForce and that firewire is not really supported in Virtual Box.

What my goal is, is to clone my working WinXP system for use in VM. If I was to uninstall the drivers for the Nforce card and the firewire, clone the drive, could it work in Virtual Box???

VBox presents a virtual graphics card, that's why you need to boot in safe mode (F8 during startup) and install the guest additions which includes a graphics driver for the virtual graphics card. Firewire is not supported in VBox.

I tried booting into safe mode. Would not logon even then.

But to be honest. I will try your technique once again. I did not think to install the Guest Additions. THANK YOU! :D
