Hello every one.
Need your help vbox-GURU's.
This is my host setup.
Core i7- 2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPU).
RAM: 8GB
OS: Win7 x64-Bit
Virtual Box installed: Oracle VirtualBox GUI version 4.3.2 r90405.
I have a problem installing my guest it has an error or message that it cannot find my hdd.
What I've remmember this kind of message the bios settings of hdd set to IDE/NATIVE so you have to change it to AHCI, but in my virtualbox STORAGE is already set to SATA-AHCI.
thanks

Re: Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed...?
I just tried setting up a new VM with Windows 2003 Server (you should have mentioned that this was your guest OS). The default comes up with an IDE drive. Why are you trying a SATA drive? Change the controller to IDE. It will work...labradorg13 wrote:I have a problem installing my guest it has an error or message that it cannot find my hdd.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Re: Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed...?
"Controller: IDE" is right there in the picture, already added to your VM, i.e. add the hard drive to the same controller as your CD. You can leave the SATA controller connected if you wish, but SATA is not supported natively by XP/Win2K3 (third party drivers would be required, and the value of this extra work is questionable).
Remember to disconnect the hard drive from the SATA controller. VBox used to have a bug which allowed the same media to be connected to two controllers in the same VM - I don't know if that bug is still around, and it isn't a configuration I would recommend...
