I instaslled Hyper-V on Windows 8.1 and I cannot start any guests. The error says:

VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).

Is this a known problem?

You can't run two VM applications at the same time if both want to use VT-x.

It's interesting that I can run VMware Player and VB at the same time.

Yes... because VMware and VirtualBox do not use VT-x at the same time but rather take turns. On the other hand, Hyper-V permanently takes over VT-x and doesn't let anyone else use it.

Are there possibly *any* workarounds? I really want to have three of them in harmony.

Not really. If Hyper-V is installed, the hypervisor will automatically load at boot time and grab Vt-x. The only way to prevent this is to change the hypervisorlaunchtype setting in the loader to prevent it loading (and then the Hyper-V hypervisor is not running, so you can't use Hyper-V).

It's disgusting...

But thanks for the information on hypervisorlaunchtype setting.

That's something you have to take up with Microsoft...
