Error in Installing 4.2.18 or 4.3.2 in Windows 7 ultimate

I use windows 7 ultimate version 64 bit, on my laptop.

Recently I use Virtualbox 4.2.6, today I downloaded the version 4.2.18. But when I installed it, and lauch the virtualbox, a warning dialog box poped up, showing "fail to create virtual box COM object" , fail in lauching.

hw can i handle it ? when i returned to 4.2.6, it became normal again.

I checked this issue on virtualbox.org, which showed that the same problem existed in VB/s Mac OS X versio, the solution is to check the /tmp permissions. but my system's on win7 64bit.some other said to delete the xml file in the directory \.virtualbox, but it did not work.

Uninstall 4.2.16 first, then reboot, then install 4.2.18 under administrator priviledge (but not as administrator!). Reboot again. then run Virtualbox under your own user, without any kind of admin priviledges.

I've kept useing the computer under as administrator for a long time (more than one year), and just do not like to change an account.

Is there any other method to avoid or solve this probome ?

BTW:things are OK when i use 4.3.2 in the windows xp guest, the difference is that the i have installed .net framework 4.0 in windows xp. is it the reason? If i install .net framework (3.5 or later), would it become normal to run 4.3.2 or 4.2.18 in windows 7 64bit ?

Virtualbox is not designed to run "As administrator" for normal operations. If you do, that use case is not supported here. It WILL cause you this kind of issue.

I don't know for the .NET Framework, never heard anyone having an issue with that, and AFAIK is not a requirements of Virtualbox.
