I've already written about this and I've got only a bad answer, but I'll try again... without providing too much detail about me and my system, I'd like to know if there are known issues related to Mavericks + VBox 4.3.2, such as the extreme bad graphical performance under WinXP and Win7 Guests' GUIs (windows move extremely slowly) and VirtualBox app not quitting, even with a Force Close.
These are my system specifications:
MacBook Pro Retina 15" with new Intel Haswell i7 CPU:
Nome modello: MacBook Pro
Identificatore modello: MacBookPro11,3
Nome processore: Intel Core i7
Velocità processore: 2,3 GHz
Numero di processori: 1
Numero totale di Core: 4
Cache L2 (per Core): 256 KB
Cache L3: 6 MB
Memoria: 16 GB
Versione Boot ROM: MBP112.0138.B02
Versione SMC (sistema): 2.19f3
OSX 10.9.0
I hope someone will give me a (maybe simple) answer instead of the "you changed too much things from the previous working configuration and you expect us to invest time into your answer??".

Two word answer: Try it.

Honestly, unless I have your exact system and configuration, I cannot give you a definitive answer. The two lines above, although sarcastic, are the reality. And since this project is a user supported one, you as a user can provide feedback to what works and what doesn't.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Re: Issues with Mavericks and VirtualBox 4.3.2
I understand what you say... if I want a diagnose of my issues you need the exact system configuration... but you do not need them to answer a question about "Are there any known issues related to using VBox 4.3.2 with Mavericks or VBox 4.3.2 and new Intel Haswell CPUs" or "Are there any known issues related to VBox 4.3.2 and VERY bad GUI performance in Win7/WinXP Guest OS (WinXP also gets almost frozen with svchost process running 100% CPU)?socratis wrote:One word answer: Maybe.Slaytanic wrote:I hope someone will give me a (maybe simple) answer

As soon as I go home and have a bit of time I'll try to collect more details about my cfg.

Re: Issues with Mavericks and VirtualBox 4.3.2
Yes. There will always be issues with any combination. This is a universal law.Slaytanic wrote:Are there any known issues related to using VBox 4.3.2 with Mavericks
Now, which one is already discovered and fixed is another issue. Discovery of bugs involves my and your time. Fixing involves the developers' time. It has to be a cooperation between the two. Developers can't fix what they haven't discovered.
I would suggest that you take a look at the bugtracker and use their search capability. For example here is a query for 4.3.2-only bugs relating to Mac hosts.

I had the same issue with my WinXP VM. Disabling the 3D functionality sorted the problem for me....
