Booting an OS in safemode in Virtual Box
I have cloned an install of Windows XP using Disk2VHD. I have tried booting it up in Virtual Box, and it goes black screen after the Windows Logo phase. I think this might be related to the fact that I have hardware that is not compatible in Virtual Box, such as Firewire. My thinking is that if I can boot up in safe mode, I could disable the drivers and save the system state until it boots up on it's own. I can never remember how to boot in safe mode. Can someone refresh my memory? Do you think this idea will work?
