Hi
I see that others have had problems, but just wanted to try one time to see if there's any success stories out there
I have a Macbook Air running Ubuntu 12.04 in VirtualBox. I can see my built in camera in the VM
$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 05ac:850a Apple, Inc.
and dmesg shows that it is recognized as a Video device
$ dmesg | grep uvc
[ 4.848453] uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device FaceTime Camera (Built-in) (05ac:850a)
[ 4.912568] usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo
but when I try to access the /dev/video0 device with cheese or with my own code, I get errors from the uvcvideo driver|
$ dmesg
[ 901.913750] uvcvideo: Non-zero status (-32) in status completion handler.
This seems so close, I don't want to give up just yet. Anyone know that this is a working combination?
TIA
