VirtualBox fails when logged into 2 machines

I have my My Documents folder as a network share, and I use multiple machines at my desk. When I try to open VirtualBox on one machine at a time, it's fine, but when I open it concurrently on the second machine, it gives me the error:
Failed to create the VirtualBox COM object.
The application will now terminate.

It seems like a sharing error. Is there something in the installation or configuration that sets this up?
